A catch-all email mailbox is one that captures all the emails sent to invalid email addresses. For instance, if your email address is [email protected], but someone misspells it and sends an email message to [email protected], it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an obsolete email address or has made a mistake. The negative aspect of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of unsolicited bulk messages, but this problem can be solved using an anti-spam filtering solution. It is also essential to bear in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming messages to a 3rd-party address.

Configuring a catch-all e-mailbox will be exceptionally easy in case you have a Linux cloud package with our company. You will see all the mailboxes that you have created shown alphabetically and to the right of each one of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately let you know whether a specific mailbox receives all the messages pertaining to a given domain name or not. With one single click on the icon you can enable or disable this option whenever you wish. If there’s active email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a specific domain name, you will get a warning notice from our system. The latter will not replace/deactivate anything automatically and without your permission.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The in-house created Hepsia Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will permit you to set up a catch-all mailbox with ease even in case you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All you need to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be next to each email address that you’ve set up with your domains in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will inform you if you’ve already set up a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. In case you reach the decision that you do not need this feature anymore, you can disable it by clicking again on the same icon.
